Your information, explained.
This notice describes the current JailMap application. Public booking information and private account information serve different purposes.
Account information
We store your name, email, password hash, saved search filters and server-side session records. Session cookies keep you signed in. Administrators can manage account access and see account audit events. Passwords are not stored in readable form.
Saved searches
Saved searches belong to your account. They store names and location filters, not copies of booking profiles. You can remove them from your workspace. Saving a search does not activate monitoring or email alerts.
Public records and correction requests
The public API excludes dates of birth and mugshot URLs by default. Correction requests store your contact email and explanation for review. Do not include Social Security numbers, full birth dates or identity documents in a request.
Current service limits
Email verification, password recovery by email and account deletion self-service are not available in this release. This application does not send account emails. A public launch requires an operator contact, retention schedule and jurisdiction-specific privacy review.
